Eurostar ad boss moves to Eurocamp

Eurocamp is losing European marketing director Martin Leppard as part of a management shake-up. The changes include recruiting Eurostar’s head of advertising, Paul Tracy, as head of marketing at subsidiary company Eurocamp Travel.

The Eurocamp group includes the brand leader in the UK’s 40m camping holiday market, as well as UK short-break brand Superbreak, Sunsites and French Country Camping.

Eurocamp chief executive Richard Atkinson will hand over to Jim Crew at Eurocamp Travel when Leppard goes in March. Crew becomes managing director and Atkinson group chief executive.

Leppard, who is moving to tour operator Trafalgar Tours as managing director, will not be replaced on the parent company board.

Tracy, who joins in February, will take on responsibility for UK marketing for the main brand and will co-ordinate marketing in Europe.

Tracy is currently sales and marketing manager of European Passenger Services, parent company of Eurostar. He has most recently been working on its weekend break brand, Secret Cities. Next month, Eurostar will launch Celebrations, a product for the excursions market to encourage daytrips to Brussels and Paris.
