MOF reshuffles senior sales team

More O’Ferrall Adshel is restructuring its senior sales and marketing departments, replacing staff appointed by previous managing director Richard Pears and appointing its first joint sales and marketing director.

National sales manager Chris O’Donnell has been promoted to sales director of Adshel – MOF’s bus shelter and six-sheet poster division.

The company is also creating a new sales director and team by separating Adshel from its billboard (96 and 48-sheet) portfolio. O’Donnell is handling both departments until a sales director is appointed. MOF’s Manchester sales manager David Hookerby is tipped for the billboard post.

Last week MOF appointed an overall marketing and sales director, Ian McComas, managing partner of CIA Conzept and a former Asda corporate marketing director.

McComas replaces sales director Chris Berry, who is being moved to the MOF Group plc to work on international development projects, and marketing director Martin Mason, who left last June.

The new sales director of MOF’s billboard sales will decide whether to handle sales of Allied, the regional poster contractor acquired by MOF in November. The Allied acquisition was part of MOF’s abortive attempt to set up a sales and marketing operation with a number of regional poster contractors.

Mason and Berry were appointed from outside the poster industry by previous managing director Richard Pears, who was replaced by Vincent Slevin in July 1994.

Slevin says: “There are so many opportunities for Adshel in the coming years, we need to integrate the two areas under the aegis of someone with marketing experience.”
