Nestlé UK-owned Crosse & Blackwell has selected Dominic Box to run its marketing operation.

Box was formerly a senior brand manager at sister company Rowntree.

His appointment follows the decision to split the marketing responsibilities for Crosse & Blackwell and Buitoni, which were previously held by Duncan MacCallum.

MacCallum has been promoted to be head of marketing of worldwide ambient business for Buitoni at the company’s headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland.

His marketing role at Buitoni in the UK will be taken by Graham Muir, who moves from Nestlé Sweden (MW January 26).

Box, who takes up his new post at the beginning of April, will report to David Barlow, general manager of the Nestlé food division, ambient.

He is senior brand manager for Quality Street and Matchmakers chocolates at Nestlé-Rowntree.

He has worked as a brand manager on confectionery including Polos and Kit Kat after joining Nestlé in 1989.

Box previously worked for advertising agency Burkitt Weinreich Bryant Clients & Partners, now Burkitt Edwards Martin.

While working on Quality Street, Box oversaw the relaunch of the pack design, which is being distributed at the moment, and the advertising campaign “Hello Mr Johnson”, out of Ammirati & Puris/Lintas.
