PTK beats Grey to net Stafford’s Setlers task

Stafford Miller has handed the advertising business for its newly acquired Setlers brand to PTK Healthcare.

PTK won the brand after a pitch against incumbent agency Grey, which is also the other rostered Stafford Miller agency.

Grey worked under previous owner SmithKline Beecham, which spent about 1.1m last year promoting Setlers and Setlers’ Tums. The Tums brand is still owned by SB.

Setlers is a mint indigestion remedy which lies second in the market behind Roche Consumer’s Rennie brand.

Tums was retained by SB because, although it only ranks third in the UK, it has potential as a worldwide brand. Setlers is only available in this country.

Stafford Miller brand manager Jill Dodge would not comment on the agency switch. PTK already handles the Nytol, Sensodyne and Search brands for the US company.
