Tour operator Club 18-30 has appointed a new head of marketing, Andy Tidy.

He will also assume marketing responsibility for the other tour operations in the group, Sunset Holidays and Priority Holidays, owned by Flying Colours Leisure.

Tidy, who joins from Balkan Holidays, worked for Club 18-30 in the late Eighties.

He will be group marketing manager and report to Club 18-30 managing director Stuart Hayward, Sunset managing director Hugh Morgan and Priority product director Becky Impey.

Sunset is the company’s family holiday tour operator, while Priority is its operation aimed at couples with no children launched last year.

The new role is the most senior marketing appointment to be made since Flying Colours bought Club 18-30 and Sunset Holidays last November.

The two acquisitions, from different owners, are thought to have cost about 30m.

The group is also exploring the development of its own airline and has appointed Errol Cossey, the former deputy chairman of First Choice holidays, as aviation consultant.

Tidy will take over responsibility for the high-profile Club 18-30 advertising campaign through Saatchi & Saatchi.
