Research helps to explode myth

Our Web site address on the Internet is:

So the myth continues to grow: everyone who turns up to a discussion group knows everyone else and lies about who they are.

Peter Hobday (MW February 2) asks “could any(one)… claim their researchers question all those in their groups to verify their status?”

When we run a group, everyone at every group completes a validation questionnaire with the group moderator (not the recruiter), before the group starts. These are compared on the spot with the recruitment questionnaires. Any discrepancies and they’re politely paid to leave. The recruiter doesn’t get paid if this happens.

Not everyone does it like this. Most of us do. Like most things in life you get what you pay for.

Happy now, Peter?
