Vintage man is behind Times

Oh dear. David Hoppit (Vintage Times) seems to be out of touch with his own market. Contrary to his comments in No Olds Barred (MW February 16), Choice is actually one of the youngest titles in the over-50s market with an average reader age of 56, according to NRS.

Perhaps Mr Hoppit was referring to Choice’s sister title, Yours – although with a circulation of 213,988 (ABC July to December 1994) this is still nothing to be sniffed at.

It would also be helpful if you could make a distinction between those titles with properly audited circulations, such as Choice, Yours and Saga, and those without, such as Vintage Times.
