Ikea, the Swedish furniture retailer, has awarded its 4m media buying account to the Media Business. The Media Business pitched with St Luke’s which won the creative account last week (see News Analysis p22).
Ammirati Puris Lintas chief operating officer and executive managing partner Chris Harris is leaving to join Bartle Bogle Hegarty in a senior but as yet undisclosed role.
HPI Equifax, which offers security and credit checks on secondhand cars for the trade and consumer markets, is understood to have shortlisted Barker & Ralston, Banks Hoggins O’Shea and Butterfield Day Devito Hockney for its account. The Salisbury-based company, previously called Autodata, was with Doner, Cardwell & Hawkins before they split last week.
Cowing Balmforth Trendall has won the 2m Rizla cigarette paper account in Holland and Belgium, following its appointment by Rizla UK in August.

Hasbro has launched the first UK campaign for its Tonka toy division’s new remote control cars (right). The Grif-fin Bacal ad breaks in the toy trade press this week as part of Hasbro’s 1m-plus mar-keting spend on the Tonka RC, aimed at children aged between seven and 17 years.
