Fuji’s divisional manager for consumer photographic products, Roy Sealey, who was responsible for sales and marketing, has left the company suddenly.
Sealey resigned on Monday and left immediately. The company will not comment on his departure but says he will pursue other, unspecified, options.
A replacement has not yet been appointed but group product manager Janet Hull will take over some of Sealey’s responsibilities in the interim.
Among these responsibilities is Fuji’s search for an advertising agency. The company is talking to a number of agencies about the account, after its former agency Saatchi & Saatchi resigned in order to handle Kodak’s UK professional and printing business.
Fuji’s most recent advertising campaign with Saatchi featured Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs.
Giggs is expected to launch several new Fuji products this year irrespective of which advertising agency is appointed. The selection process is expected to take a couple of months.
Sealey took up the divisional manager role in 1990 and previously worked for the Hanimex division of Fuji. Prior to that, he worked for rival Kodak.
