Pepsi signs up Schiffer for ‘blue’ ads

German “berbabe” Claudia Schiffer will be pouting over a can of Pepsi in a series of advertisements for the relaunch of the soft drink in its new blue livery in April.

Schiffer will be lining up alongside fellow supermodel and longtime Pepsi stalwart Cindy Crawford for the relaunch, as well as the current star of Pepsi Max ads tennis player André Agassi.

Schiffer joins the Pepsi celebrity ad team as the soft drinks giant officially unveils its new blue can design for its range of colas.

The design, by Landor Associates, draws inspiration from the success of the blue Pepsi Max can first launched in the UK in 1993 and rolled out worldwide in 1994. The cans will soon be seen in Europe and then the rest of the world, probably including the US. Ads to support the launch are being created through BBDO.
