Hytner heads Henley Centre

Richard Hytner, former chief executive of Ammirati & Puris/Lintas, is joining the WPP-owned Henley Centre as chief executive.

Hytner walked out of APL in January (MW January 5) without a post to go to, following his refusal to take up a position on the board at Ammirati Puris Lintas New York.

Hytner will be joined at The Henley Centre by Paul Edwards – former head of planning at APL – as deputy chairman and both will work closely with chairman Bob Tyrrell.

John Zweig, chief executive of WPP’s specialist communications companies, says: “The appointments of Richard and Paul will advance the Centre’s positioning as an ideas-based marketing consultancy, and develop it a step further.”
