AOL, a joint venture between America Online Inc and German media group Bertelsmann, launched in the UK in January. It boasts 5 million subscribers, who pay at least 5.95 per month.

Westminster Cable has unveiled details of its video-on-demand trials for cable TV subscribers. The first phase of the trial reveals that Blackadder is the most requested item overall and Bram Stoker’s Dracula the most requested movie.
