NatWest Life boss quits for consultancy

NatWest Life marketing director Peter Baxter is leaving the bank to join management consultancy PMC as a director.

Baxter, who joined NatWest Life four years ago from Abbey Life where he was assistant executive director, marketing, leaves in two weeks.

A NatWest spokesman says Baxter’s role will be temporarily held by NatWest Life’s head of market development, Stephen Walmsley-Cotham, while a replacement is found.

The marketing director is responsible for all NatWest Life and unit trusts marketing.

Last year, NatWest merged Nat-West Life with its unit trust, regulated salesforce and investments divisions under the umbrella of NatWest Life & Investment Services.

NatWest L&IS managing director, Lawrence Churchill, and NatWest marketing director, Raoul Pinnell, are still looking for a group marketing director to oversee the operation (MW February 9).

Baxter’s replacement, and Nat-West Investment marketing director David Saidman, will report to the new group marketing director.
