The udder side of Bovril issue

We are the manufacturers of Bovril Beef and Vegetable Extracts.

In your Cover Story “High Steaks” (MW March 29) you made the following reference to Bovril: “Given the scale of the present situation, brand owners may have to consider scrapping some brands entirely – can anyone ever feel the same about Bovril, for instance?”

We would appreciate it if you would advise your readers that Bovril is in fact made from entirely non- UK sourced beef. Bovril is therefore not implicated in the current BSE controversy.
