Queen does not buy the beefy bull

The Diary was impressed to discover that our Glorious Queen, unlike many of her loyal subjects, is not a victim of what has come to be known as press hype.

The Queen’s Awards for Export, Technological and Environmental Achievement 1996, having adopted an astonishingly unbiased, even if somewhat dubious judging process, has listed Anglo Beef Processors among the recipients of the treasured accolade.

Apparently the company has been showing the rest of Europe “the superiority of matured steer and heifer beef over the traditionally imported bull beef from other European countries”.

No doubt it will be revealed that such export prowess has also shown the rest of Europe what it’s like to suffer from BSE.
