Cussons UK hires director of marketing

Cussons UK, owner of soap products such as Imperial Leather and Pearl, has appointed Nance Quick as marketing director for all its consumer brands.

Quick will also head the company’s in-house creative department. This devises ads for brands including household cleaner Limelite and antibacterial soap Carex.

She has been with the company for four years, during which time she has been category development manager for liquid soaps. She has also been responsible for marketing Imperial Leather.

Quick takes over from deputy managing director Ian Crichton, who will become international business development director.

Imperial Leather is the leading soap brand in the UK and the company has been launching brand extensions. Last year Cussons allotted 3m spend to Imperial Leather Extra Care.

The company relaunched Pearl earlier this year, reinforcing its position as a beauty soap. It is the third leading soap brand in the UK.
