Perfect Pizza seeks head of marketing

Perfect Pizza, which claims a 45m share of the 300m UK home delivery pizza market, is looking for a marketing director following the departure of Ian Dunstall.

Dunstall, who had been with the Canadian-owned company for over two years, left last week to join Bass’ Toby Restaurants business as brands manager.

Another member of the marketing department, Nigel Vickers, is also leaving shortly.

Dunstall will be replaced in the short term by Claire Potter, who joins from Golden Wonder. She takes the title of marketing manager.

The company has promised steady sales growth this year – managing director Tony Sherriff has said Perfect Pizza expects sales to rise by about 15 per cent.

Perfect Pizza has nearly 200 outlets, employing 3,000 staff. It is one of the leading home-delivery specialists in the UK along with PepsiCo-owned Pizza Hut and the smaller Domino’s operation.

Perfect Pizza has been involved in a dispute with a number of its franchisees who have alleged misrepresentation, duress or breach of contract. Over 100 of its outlets are franchised, though the number involved in the dispute is small.
