Visa Delta is running a new television campaign through agency Saatchi & Saatchi, produced and directed by comedian Mel Smith. The new campaign, which breaks next Monday, encourages consumers
to use the Visa Delta debit card rather than cash. The commercials feature Smith as a rock ‘n’ roll star with a stage act that includes the sound of a cashtill ‘kerching’. The ads end with the strapline: ‘Visa Delta – making cash a kerching of the past.’ The last Visa Delta ad campaign launched in February 1995 and featured the strapline: ‘Visa Delta’s blow to cheques.’ Visa Delta claims to be the UK’s most widely used debit card.
