Britvic has lost more staff from its marketing department, following the sudden departure of Steve Kay (MW September 13). Lisa Roby, marketing manager for franchise and factored brands is joining Ogilvy & Mather as a senior planner, while David Johnston, marketing manager for new product development and market research, moves to Pepsi as marketing director for Poland.

Tesco’s pre-tax profits have risen by 10.7 per cent to 321m on sales which increased by seven per cent for the six months to August 31.

Coca-Cola claims research shows its Euro 96 campaign reached 88 per cent of the public, with 91 per cent penetration among 15 to 24-year-olds. By the end of Euro 96, 31 per cent of consumers were aware that Coca Cola was a sponsor, compared with 13 per cent for Snickers.

Procter & Gamble is to spend 1.5m on the launch of a new fragrance Ocean Dream and related products. Advertising for the Giorgio Beverly Hills brand will include 500 bus shelter sites, several of which will release the fragrance at passers-by.

Kimberly-Clark, the tissue maker, has hired Stuart Hepburn as associate marketing director for Continental Northern European countries. Hepburn comes from Elida Fabergé’s Milan office, where he was responsible for dental innovation.

Vodapage, Vodafone’s paging arm, will be running cinema ads through BMP DDB for its new VodaZap! digital messaging system with the tagline: ‘VodaZap! Are you turned on?’
