The good ship Oriana provided plenty of opportunities for deal making at this year’s Marketing Forum. One evening, after a presentation from Rover Cars the Diary had dinner with Leeds agency Poulter.
At the table were two of the agency’s directors, as well as Airtours marketing director Richard Carrick, Amtico marketing manager Claire Bowen and Jeyes marketing director Sue Jefferson. The conversation quickly turned to hobbies.
After Jefferson professed an interest in falconry it emerged that Poulter new business director, Andy Pratt, is a jazz pianist and Carrick produces records for a hobby. The conversation ended with Pratt promising to send the Airtours A&R man a demo. Richard Branson watch out.
