Bozell picks up Seiko Euro task

Watchmaker Seiko has reshuffled its advertising agencies and awarded the pan-European creative account for its Pulsar range to Delaney Fletcher Bozell.

Media spend on the push will be about 8m and Pulsar’s UK media agency 20/20 Media, which is 50 per cent owned by Bozell, is unchanged.

Bozell beat three other roster agencies to the Pulsar creative assignment – incumbent Slogan, based in Spain, German agency BMZ and The Connection, a design and advertising agency which is based in Maidenhead, near Seiko UK’s offices.

The new Pulsar watches will be positioned as the flagship range for the mid-market brand and will be launched in February or March next year, backed by TV and press work.

The international creative account for the upmarket brand Seiko is also being reviewed out of BMZ.

Seiko UK group marketing manager David Innes refuses to reveal the shortlist but says UK agencies are involved. A decision will be made at Seiko’s Tokyo headquarters later this month.
