Philips will screen a TV commercial for its CD radio cassette recorders this month, directed by moviemaker Spike Lee. The ads, shot in New York and featuring 600 dancers, will show a street scene with people dancing when the recorder is turned on. The ad is part of a 10m above- and below-the-line campaign by EURO RSCG Wnek Gosper. The campaign runs across TV, radio and the national press promoting the company’s corporate identity, as well as its widescreen TV, lighting, audio and Philishave products. All the advertising runs with the tagline: ‘Let’s Make Things Better.’
