Beale takes on top role in Domecq rejig

Allied Domecq UK has undergone its second major shake-up in six months with the appointment of Hayley Beale as overall marketing director and head of new brand development.

Beale became director of marketing for the company’s liqueurs and fortified wines six months ago (MW June 14). At the same time, the company appointed Tom Ray as director of marketing for spirits.

The two had been marketing chiefs at Allied’s two distribution companies JR Phillips and URM Brands, which were folded into the new structure under managing director James Cockeram.

Ray is now being moved to work on Allied Domecq Europe’s Project Gallileo, which has building its sales and marketing expertise across European marketing and sales companies as its goal.

Managing director James Cockeram says: “This underlines our commitment to the development of our existing and new brands and the creation of new brands for the UK.”
