…but loses Brann 10m buying business

Direct marketing agency Brann has pulled its 10m media business out of CIA Media Solutions, and handed the account to Manning Gottlieb Media (MW November 22).

Brann’s client list includes CompuServe, Colonial Direct, Age Concern, Touchline Insurance, RSPCA, and Norwich Union.

Bristol-based Brann, which is opening a London office in January, also picked up the account for Virgin Entertainment Direct last week.

The agency has been briefed to build a customer retention and loyalty programme. Manning Gottlieb Media handles the centralised media buying for Virgin, including Virgin Atlantic Airways Virgin Direct, Virgin Cola and Eurostar.

The agency also handles Johnson & Johnson, Accurist, Nike, Suzuki and Goldbrand. Sister company CIA Medianetwork has lost 1m worth of media buying for Orbis partworks to John Ayling & Associates.
