Sean Brierley’s article on Lloyds TSB (MW November 8) needs some correction.

Cheltenham & Gloucester is a separate business within the Lloyds TSB Group and is responsible for running C&G business, C&G brand and mortgage strategy for the Group.

These responsibilities were drawn up in a legal agreement which took effect in August 1995 and operates for at least five years.

C&G is responsible for its own ad strategy and agencies and is not planning a review in the new year.
