No more breaks in Coronation St

I was surprised to see that AMCO is suggesting a second commercial break in half-hour programmes such as Coronation St (MW January 10).

In case there is any doubt about this, may I confirm that this would not be allowed by the current ITC rules applicable to ITV programmes and that I can see little prospect of the Commission being persuaded that it was in the interest of viewers for the rules to be changed on this point.
