PepsiCo’s Glenn lands senior European role

Former Walkers vice-president marketing Martin Glenn has been appointed Pepsi Foods International vice-president commercial in Europe.

This is likely to give him the senior role within Snack Ventures Europe, the PepsiCo joint venture with General Mills in continental and Eastern Europe.

Glenn has been keeping tight-lipped about his move since the announcement in November that he was to be given a wider role within PepsiCo as a reward for building the Walkers crisps brands.

He was responsible for the Gary Lineker “No more Mr Nice Guy” TV campaign through BMP DDB, and as new product development director he oversaw the launch of Doritos.

Before joining Walkers he worked in Germany and the UK for Mars Petfoods.

Glenn was replaced at Walkers by former Pepsi marketer Mhairi McEwan.
