Zanussi, the white goods manufacturer, has undertaken a major independent dealer network promotion. It is installing a specifically designed and engineered centre for use at point of purchase at each of its dealers. Railston was appointed to handle the programme and 75 installations a week were made at the height of the operation.

Research into the point-of-purchase industry has shown that buyers rank creative design ability highest in their choice of POP company, closely followed by ability to manufacture the product and strategic thinking. The research, commissioned by Fords Design Group, also highlighted the quality of the product, competitive pricing and speed of delivery as being important factors in the decision-making process.

John Naylor has been appointed joint managing director of NDI Display Group. Naylor was previously chief executive of Campbell & Armstrong and before that, managing director of Giltspur International Group.
