Intro

Launched in 1985, The Marketing Society Awards are a cornerstone of our championing of marketing excellence. They are a recognition of achievement and success, through an effective combination of different elements in the marketing mix.

New Brand of the Year Awards have been added this year to provide a balanced spread in the key marketing sectors.

For the first time we are also selecting a Grand Prix winner for the overall Brand of the Year.

The continuing participation and support of both Marketing Week and ITV are key factors in the development and success of these awards. We must also acknowledge the time and effort put in by our distinguished panel of judges who select the finalists in each of the award categories.

The winners of all these awards have the satisfaction of knowing they have the respect and admiration of their peers – the 3,000 senior marketers who are members of The Marketing Society and who must now vote for the winners.

The 1997 Awards will be announced at a presentation dinner on April 15 at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Reserve your ticket (details on page 62) as soon as possible; it promises to be a great evening.
