Viglen hands Mustoe 3m IT business

Mustoe Merriman Herring Levy has won the 3m account for Viglen computers, with a brief to increase its share of the corporate market.

The agency fought off four others, First City BBDO, Donar Cardwell Hawkins, McCann-Erickson and the McWilliams Partnership.

Bordan Tkachuk, managing director of Viglen, which claims to be the UK’s largest computer company, says: “It was a difficult decision. But we thought Mustoe Merriman offered us the best package.”

Mustoe Merriman will develop work across radio and mainstream press for the Amstrad-owned company, which makes PCs, as well as mainframe and network computers.

Viglen’s previous incumbent was Stoke agency Lesniak Jones Liddell, which handled media buying and creative work.

Zenith Direct won the media account in October in a pitch against CIA Medianetwork.

Mustoe Merriman will continue to produce short-term work until a full-scale brand campaign is developed next month.
