TSMSi, the new media sales house and sister company to leading TV airtime sales house TSMS, has signed up its first major consumer Website, developed for George Michael’s Aegean Records label.

The site (www.aegean.net) will form the core of a “musical youth” package – one of six distinct demographic and lifestyle packages of Internet audiences which TSMSi is planning to offer to advertisers.

The site is believed to be already attracting between 6,000 and 7,000 site visits a day.

“We are attempting to deliver large audiences across a range of demographically similar Websites,” says general manager Paul Simon. “And we will be looking to deliver seven-figure minimum levels of guaranteed impressions.”

The sales house has also signed up five sites operated by business publisher Miller Freeman to form the core of a professional sell, targeting online audiences in a business environment.

Production company Intervid has partnered Aegean Records in developing the site.

According to Intervid’s Nick Rosen, Aegean and its partners are in talks with a major bottled water brand and mobile phone manufacturer to secure site sponsorship and product placement in Aegean multimedia productions. “Aegean Net will act as a prime new medium for promoting acts on a new record label,” says Rosen.

The site will provide the sole route to joining the George Michael fan club. Other features include an “A&R” site, allowing aspiring musicians to upload demo tapes.
