It seems there are no lengths to which Duracell will not take its “longer-lasting” tagline. The company’s European marketing director, Glyn Harper, will run in The Flora London Marathon on April 13 as the famous Duracell bunny.
Glyn has already run a couple of races in his bunny outfit. He is pictured here running The Gatwick Half Marathon at the end of March.
The fighting fit Mr Harper, who will also raise money for charity Age Concern, says: “London will be my greatest challenge yet because it is the longest distance I’ve taken on as the Duracell bunny.”
There has been a great deal of controversy recently over whether Duracell rivals Philips PowerLife or the Ever Ready Energizer are longer-lasting batteries. The Diary wonders if marketing directors from these respective companies will back their brands by signing up for the next available triathlon.
