Three more join exodus from Carlsberg-Tetley

Three more people have left Carlsberg-Tetley as uncertainty over the Bass takeover, caused by the Election, drags on.

The second wave of more junior departures follows the decision by three of the top five marketers, including the two responsible for the company’s flagship brands, to resign.

Tetley’s marketing controller Mike Davies left earlier this year to join Bass, Carlsberg marketing controller John Slade went to launch his own business, while Chris Sladen, acting marketing controller for Tetley’s research and development, joined Scottish Courage as a marketing controller.

In the latest wave, Jonathan Kirkley, marketing manager for Castlemaine XXXX and Skol, has resigned and is to join Virgin Cinemas as marketing manager.

Lisa Millett, senior brand manager for Special Brew and Carlsberg take-home, and Amy Cox, assistant brand manager on premium cask ales, have also resigned.

A Carlsberg-Tetley spokesman says replacements will be recruited for all the posts.
