Wired man’s ways aren’t working

The Diary was interested to see an invitation to a conference called “New Ways of Working”, organised by the consultancy Smythe Dorward Lambert, particularly as one of the advertised speakers is John Browning, editor of the US version of Wired, the magazine for “techies”.

Browning, who according to the conference blurb will “offer his vision of the future organisation and work environment as a result of the impact of new and future technologies”, should have a thing or two to say about new ways of working. Ironically, the UK version of his publication folded earlier this year amid reports of losses and falling circulation.
