Tim Wootton, chairman of United News & Media sales house TSMS, is to become chairman of Zenith Media UK.
He is standing down from his chairmanship of TSMS, after 27 years with the group.
David Arculus, currently chief operating officer of United will take Wootton’s place. Arculus joined United only one month ago from EMAP, where he was group managing director.
Arculus says: “The core business of TSMS is and will continue to be ITV.”
Jerry Hill, who was appointed chief executive of TSMS in January, will report to Arculus.
Wootton will become chairman of Zenith Media UK from July. Zenith Media Worldwide chairman John Perriss says: “Tim and I have known each other since 1970. We have both been pioneers in creating the first TV sales agency and the first global media agency.”
