Revolution fever spreads at Mail

When immensely rich proprietor of the Daily Mail Lord Rothermere astonished all with his decision to convert to New Labour in the House of Lords, the Diary was intrigued to know how his startling change would influence Daily Mail managing director Guy Zitter, the man renowned for political leanings only marginally to the left of Ghengis Khan.

The Diary is delighted to report the zeal of Zitter’s response to his boss’s new allegiances: “Comrade, I’m marching around the office drinking vodka and plotting the revolution as we speak.”
