CIA Medianetwork has landed a 6m boost with a double new business win.

China and crystal manufacturer Waterford Wedgwood and German mobile phone manufacturer Hage-nuk have both handed their media accounts to the agency.

CIA is partnering creative agency Village Design on the controversial Hagenuk account, following a decision to switch UK ads out of Zenith Media and its German ad agency.

The 2m campaign, scheduled to launch next week in national press supplements and women’s magazines, has already run into trouble with the Advertising Standards Association following complaints from the trade (MW July 3).

The campaign stresses the phone’s radiation-reducing features compared with others on the market, and the ASA has said the company will have to justify its use of “alarmist advertising”.

CIA has also won a planned 4m ad spend for the Wedgwood china brand, in a campaign expected to break later this year.

It will work alongside creative agency Mustoe Merriman Herring Levy, which was appointed in January to reactivate advertising on the dormant business.
