The New Millennium Experience Company is understood to have shortlisted agencies M&C Saatchi, Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO, Leo Burnett, TBWA/Simons Palmer and Ogilvy & Mather for its 17m creative account.

Saatchi & Saatchi is in talks with Twinings (right) about the speciality teas company’s 650,000 advertising account. Last week, Saatchi was appointed to the Premier Beverages Typhoo tea account, creating a possible conflict.

Debonair, the discount airline, is talking to agencies about its 1.5m advertising account.

Claydon Heeley International has won the 4m direct marketing account for Channel 5 aimed at increasing coverage, retuning television sets and rebuilding its database. The agency will also work on programme promotions and events.

Cheetham Bell has won the advertising account for Ocean Software’s latest computer game, Outcast. Ocean is one of the leading companies in its field and the agency will work on cinema, press and below-the-line advertising. The win may lead to projects worth over 1m.

Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising Worldwide European planning director Alex McKie is to join the Henley Centre as a senior consultant. McKie will focus on international consumer attitudes.

Faulds Advertising says it will repitch for the 2m Scotland Against Drugs account. The account, which the agency won last March, is being reviewed on a statutory basis.

Commercial Union has dropped Saatchi & Saatchi from its pitch-list. Three agencies go through to the next round – Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters, Leo Burnett and Young & Rubicam.
