…as British Gas calls pitch for services arm

McCann Scotland has lost the bus-iness for Scottish-based American Football team The Scottish Claymores. The Claymores have invited local agencies 1576, Smarts and Coltas to pitch for the 250,000 account. The brief is aimed at improving overall attendance at games for the three-year-old club, which last season attracted an average of 13,000 to Murrayfield stadium. The Claymore’s head of marketing Paul Blanchard says he expects a decision on which agency will handle the account to be made within the next fortnight.
