The New Millennium Experience Company has asked M&C Saatchi to explain media suggestions that Bill Muirhead, a partner in the agency and the former acting communications director at NMEC, saw the agency’s tender proposals before it pitched for the account. NMEC says the agency has denied that Muirhead saw the proposals.

Mansfield Brewery has shortlisted BST, Leagas Shafron Davis and Manchester agency BDH for its 2m ad account.

The Scottish Office has reappointed Faulds Advertising and Barkers Scotland to its 3m above-the-line advertising account following a strategic review.

The Charles Walls Group, a Leeds-based agency, has appointed MediaVest (Manchester) to handle broadcast buying for all its clients. MediaVest pitched against TMB (North), CIA Media Solutions and TMD Carat.

BBH Asia Pacific has won a new global ad account from Asian Home Gourmet, a company which makes Asian spice foil-packed pastes sold in Asia, Europe and the US.
