It may be the silly season or that some clients have simply been out in the sun for too long, but two weeks ago we read about a Unilever client who briefed 37 agencies to respond to her advertising and promotional brief.
Now we learn (MW August 21) that Commercial Union aims to select the winner from two competing agencies for its 12m account by taking them both out for a day’s sailing on the Solent.
Presumably they are risking making a drama out of a crisis.
My bet for the winner’s enclosure and a life-time’s supply of Kwells is the agency which has both “duck” and “waters” in its title.
