Abbott Mead Vickers has boosted turnover and pre-tax profit by 30 per cent in the first half of this year, compared with the same period last year.
New business wins secured up to the end of June by the marketing services agency group have added the equivalent of 101m in annual advertising billings. Major wins include Aer Lingus and additional work for existing clients BT and Volvo.
Half-year turnover stood at 207.56m, compared with 159m in the same period last year, with pre-tax profits at the half-way stage up from 4.7m to 6.12m.
Unveiling the results, AMV chairman Peter Mead points to strong individual performances across AMV’s advertising and marketing services companies. But he says the company’s financial performance has been boosted by “increasing cross referral between group companies”.
Mead says: “The number of clients using three or more companies continues to increase, and we saw more joint pitches as the trend towards more integrated marketing continues.”
