Kids aspire to beat the odds

The Dairy was perturbed to read the results of a children’s survey commissioned by the Fox Kids channel this week. It revealed that if children, aged between 7 and 14, could have one wish it would be to win the National Lottery.

Whatever happened to wanting to be a fireman, a nurse, or a marketing director when you grow up? Or even wishing for world peace? It seems we are turning from a nation of shopkeepers to a country of gamblers.

The Dairy, quite frankly, is appalled, and in the spirit of change plans to donate any winnings made at Kempton Park this Saturday to its local Barnardo’s.
