Scottish Courage is backing Beamish Black (left) and Beamish Red – its Irish stout and premium Irish ale – with its biggest TV support for the brand so far: a 4m campaign through Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe. The campaign involves ten-second pairs of commercials which ‘top and tail’ ad breaks, looking at everyday life from two sides of the Irish character, the ‘red’ or extroverted, humorous outlook and the ‘black’ or contemplative, romantic side. Ads will be shown on Channel 4, Channel 5 and satellite from Thursday. John Nicolson, Scottish Courage marketing director, says: ‘Our comprehensive marketing support programme for Beamish Black and Beamish Red demonstrates our commitment to developing the Beamish brand in the UK.’
