…as CCSB VP White moves over to Trebor

Kevin White, Coca-Cola Schweppes Beverages’ vice-president of sales and marketing, who was promoted to the role only last month, is joining Trebor Bassett.

White will fill the newly-created role of sales and marketing director of the Cadbury Schweppes-owned sugar confectionery manufacturer.

Marketing director Bruce Burnett has been axed in the Trebor restructure (MW October 23) and sales director John Tweedale will become chairman of Trebor subsidiaries Ernest Jackson (medicated and vitamin-enriched sweets) and Lion Confectionery (regional manufacturer of gum sweets). He will also oversee Trebor’s export business.

White was promoted to the newly-created position at CCSB last month (MW September 11) as part of a restructure, which included the creation of nine regional divisions across the UK. He was formerly UK commercial director for the UK’s leading soft drinks supplier.

White will now oversee brands such as Liquorice Allsorts, Jelly Babies and Extra Strong Mints.

Industry speculation has suggested Trebor is failing to meet its sales targets. The company’s ad spend has dwindled to 2.5m over the 12 months to June (ACNielsen-MEAL).
