Ocean Spray, the Cranberry juice brand, have shortlisted TBWA Simons Palmer and Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO for the 2m ad account, after dropping M&C Saatchi and Grey.

Flextech, the cable operator, begins a three-week advertising campaign for its women’s channel Living this week. The work by BDDP GGT, will run on terrestrial and cable TV and end with the tagline ‘One look and you’re hooked’.

BA won the DBA/Marketing Week Design Effectiveness Grand Prix award for the relaunch of its business class service. Wolff Olins won an award for the second year running for the best 1m-plus corporate identity. Its Channel 5 award this year follows last year’s Orange identity.

Vaux Breweries is unveiling a 2m TV campaign for its beer brand Lambton’s this week. The work, by Newcastle advertising agency Robson Brown, features Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey.

Van den Bergh Foods is unveiling its latest advertisement featuring the Oxo Family through J Walter Thompson, 14 years after the campaign was first aired. JWT’s new ad for Oxo Chicken Stock Cubes features Lynda Bellingham, who plays the Oxo mum, using the cubes to create three different dishes to please different members of her family – chicken kebabs for her son, chicken stir fry for her daughter and paprika chicken for her husband Michael – a dish which gives him ‘the hots’. The ad, called ‘Some like it hot’, will break on Saturday (November 1).

Lloyd Northover Citigate advised on the name and developed the visual identity for the new Financial Services Authority, launched this week by Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown.

The Interpublic Group, which owns McCann-Erickson, Ammirati Puris Lintas and the Lowe Group, has boosted its gross income across US subsidiaries by 45 per cent in the third quarter of the year to $354m (221m), compared with the same quarter last year. Income growth across its international businesses grew more slowly by 14 per cent to $369m (230m).
