Regional brewer Fuller Smith & Turner is launching a new advertising campaign, through Doner Cardwell Hawkins, for its award-winning London Pride ale. It features the voiceover of retired England hooker Brian Moore, who reads extracts from one of Shakespeare’s most rousing speeches from Henry V. The action builds to the clash of a rugby scrum with the final words: ‘God for Harry, England and Saint George’ and pans to a pint of London Pride with the strapline ‘Whatever you do take Pride.’ The ads will be shown before the kick-off of the pre-Christmas rugby internationals on BSkyB and ITV. John Roberts, marketing director, says the campaign ‘continues to build on the association of quality and pride’.
