Coke revamps Santa Christmas packaging

Coca-Cola has designed new packaging for Christmas, which features Santa Claus once again.

The “beard and red-and-white coat” image of Santa was created by US artist Haddon Sundblom. Sundblom’s pictures, commissioned by Coca-Cola between 1931 and 1966, are credited with helping create the modern image of Father Christmas.

One of the paintings was featured on a Coke can for the first time last year. This year another, entitled They Remembered Me, will be used.

An updated version of the Christmas Caravan TV ad by WB Doner will also be on air this Christmas.
