You’ve really got a hold on me

When Marc Mendoza was appointed managing director of Mediapolis, his role was to take over the day-to-day running of the UK agency, leaving the grandly-titled chief executive officer Bob Offen free to look at the wider horizon. You know, international integration, long-term strategic direction, that sort of thing.

But that does leave a big question mark hanging over one of the pivotal decisions taken in the agency each week – which CD callers will hear when put on hold. Bob “call me John Peel” Offen apparently selects the week’s aural delights from among his own personal faves.

Given the imminent departure of Mediapolis’ biggest client Peugeot at the end of December, perhaps Offen could feature songs such as “Baby, Come Back,” “Don’t Give Up On Us” and “Don’t Go”.
