Football is a great leveller of men, and so it was at last Sunday’s Sky Sports five-a-side competition in association with NABS.
Tiny ad agency Yellow Submarine emerged victorious, beating communications giant News International 4-3, with Yellow Submarine’s Stuart Walsh named Man of the Match. In the ladies’ competition, Laser beat KPMG, with Laser’s Juliet Thorne voted the star player.
The Diary was there to cheer on the gallant Marketing Week team. We can report that the event – which involved 52 men’s teams and seven ladies’ teams – will raise more than 20,000. All this plus no serious injuries, crowd violence or punch-ups on the pitch – a great achievement.
